Principal's Welcome

Dear Montalvin Families,

We hope this letter finds you and your loved ones well and enjoying the summer break. As we prepare to welcome everyone back to Montalvin Manor for the new school year, we wanted to reach out and share our excitement for the year ahead.

Our dedicated staff has been working hard to create a vibrant, engaging curriculum that sparks curiosity and fosters a love of learning. Whether your child is returning or joining us for the first time, we can’t wait to partner with you to support their academic and personal growth.

 

📅 Important Dates to Remember

  • Family Orientation: August 15 at 9:00am on Google Meet Link HERE
  • First Day of School: August 19 at 8:20am
  • Back to School Night: September 10 at 5:00pm

We’re also excited to host two instructional nights and our annual student showcases. These events provide opportunities to learn more about what’s happening in the classroom and how to support learning at home:

  • Math/Science Night: March 12th
  • Literacy Night: April 16th
  • Winter Showcase: December 18th
  • Student Showcase: May 20th

 

🤝 How to Get Involved

Family engagement makes a powerful difference. We invite you to:

  • Volunteer in classrooms or at school events
     
  • Join our PTSA
     
  • Attend our Parent Advisory Committees, including:
     
    • School Site Council (SSC)
    • English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC)
    • African American Parent Advisory Council (AAPAC)

These committees are vital spaces for collaboration and feedback. Your voice helps shape the future of our school, and we look forward to your participation.

Clear communication is essential for a successful school year. Please ensure your contact information is up to date. We use ParentSquare for all school updates and announcements.

Class lists will be posted on ParentSquare and in the front office windows on August 18 at 4:00 PM.
